FAQ
Q1: What is the maximum safe working voltage of the MDP5300A?
A1: The voltage to ground is 600V CATII/1000V CATI, the differential voltage is ±3000Vpk (1000X attenuation), it complies with CE/UL safety certification, and has built-in overload protection.
Q2: How to choose the attenuation ratio?
A2: Select according to the voltage being tested:
100X attenuation: Applicable to signals ≤±300Vpk (such as low-voltage inverter drive circuit)
1000X attenuation: Applicable to signals ≤±3000Vpk (such as high-voltage bus, IGBT collector voltage)
Q3: What is the impact of input capacitance on the test?
A3: 2pF differential input capacitance significantly reduces the load effect:
The capacitive reactance of high-frequency signals (such as 50MHz) is only about 1.6kΩ, which is much lower than that of traditional probes (5pF capacitive reactance is about 800Ω)
Measured comparison: Similar probes increase the delay of the rising edge of the IGBT drive waveform by 1.2ns, while the delay of MDP5300A is only 0.3ns
